Lifelong friends Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, narcotics detectives in Miami, have 72 hours to recover $100 million worth of heroin stolen from a secure police vault, while Internal Affairs threatens to shut down their department. To protect Julie, the sole witness to a murder committed by drug kingpin Antoine Fouchet, the two partners are forced to impersonate each other.
