Adaline Bowman, a young woman who stopped aging at twenty-nine after a near-fatal car accident and a lightning strike in 1937, has spent decades changing her identity to keep her secret. When she meets philanthropist Ellis Jones, she is drawn into a relationship that forces her to confront her past, including a reunion with a man who loved her decades earlier, and ultimately to choose love over running away.
